BACK2SCRATCH Festival brings hip-hop, urban sports and street art together. Historic squares, canal-side stages and reclaimed industrial spaces pulse with live DJ sets, freestyle cyphers and breakdance battles that push the boundaries of hip-hop culture. Skate ramps, BMX tracks and parkour courses pop up among cobblestones and loading docks, turning the city into a playground for gravity-defying tricks and impromptu street-ball tournaments. Meanwhile, graffiti artists and muralists cover walls and alleyways in bold colors and sweeping designs, sharing their craft in live painting sessions and guided tours. From sunrise freestyles along the Leie to late-night jam circles in tucked-away courtyards, BACK2SCRATCH is a community-driven movement that leaves its mark on every corner of Ghent.
